In-Office Pediatric Occupational Therapy that gives your child independence, confidence, and the ability to participate fully in everyday activities and occupations.

At The Sensory Space, we specialize in providing compassionate and expert Occupational Therapy (OT) services tailored for all children. Our mission is to empower children to grow and thrive by supporting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development in a nurturing and engaging environment.

You want your child to gain independence, confidence, and fully participate in everyday activities.

In-home therapy can often lead to more distractions and less progress, leaving you frustrated as your child struggles to focus and grow. Many parents find that office-based services offer a better environment for success—away from home distractions, where your child can thrive. Let’s work together in a focused, supportive setting to help your child achieve their fullest potential.

Here are 9 ways I can help you:

  • Helps children with sensory processing issues (like sensory overload or under-reactivity) by engaging them in activities that help regulate their response to sensory stimuli.

  • Focuses on developing small muscle movements, such as those needed for writing, cutting with scissors, buttoning clothes, or feeding themselves.

  • Works on improving large muscle movements required for coordination, balance, and activities like running, jumping, and playing sports.

  • Focuses on improving handwriting skills, helping children with legibility, letter formation, and writing speed. Often used for children with dysgraphia or other learning challenges.

  • Assists children in improving their cognitive skills, like attention, memory, planning, and organizing tasks. These are important for academic success and daily routines.

  • Uses play as a therapeutic tool to improve social skills, emotional regulation, and communication, while also helping to build fine and gross motor abilities.

  • Helps children learn strategies to manage their emotions, cope with frustration, and regulate their energy levels (e.g., calming techniques.

  • Prepares children for school by working on skills such as sitting still, following directions, and participating in group activities. It may also involve collaborating with educators to ensure the child’s needs are met in the classroom.

  • Offers guidance to parents and caregivers on how to implement strategies and activities at home that support the child’s development and progress in therapy.

Testimonials

  • Kristen K.

Our experience working with Nicolette has been exceptionally positive. She fostered a supportive and engaging environment in which my daughter not only felt at ease, but genuinely looked forward to each session. Under her expert guidance, we witnessed remarkable progress in a relatively short period of time.

One of the aspects I appreciated most was her clear and consistent communication. I was always well-informed about my daughter’s progress and felt actively involved throughout the process. Nicolette is both highly skilled and deeply compassionate, and I would confidently recommend her services to any family seeking occupational therapy support.

I am Nicolette and I am passionate about helping your child reach their full potential.
